Child walking to school hit by car, critically injured
A 12-year-old boy was critically injured when he was hit by a car while walking to school in St. Paul.
Police say the child suffered a severe head injury Monday when he was struck crossing the street outside of the crosswalk.
Authorities say a vehicle slowed down to let the boy cross, but another car drove around the first vehicle and struck the boy.
He was taken to Regions Hospital.
