Police chase in White Bear Lake ends in garage crash
Two would-be car thieves in White Bear Lake attracted the attention of police after driving the wrong way down a street. A short chase ensued that ended when they crashed into a garage. No one was injured.
Washington County Sheriff's deputies tried to pull the car over shortly before 2 a.m. after noticing it heading the wrong way on the White Bear Lake street.
The two men initially stopped, but then fled towards the lake. The chase ended when the men crashed into a garage on Southwood Drive and McKnight Road.
Both men were arrested and no one was injured, although the garage was damaged. The car had not yet been reported stolen. Police are investigating.
