Ex-East Ridge High principal faces police inquiry over funds

The former principal of East Ridge High School in Woodbury is facing an investigation by local police.

Aaron Harper abruptly quit his job at East Ridge on Nov. 6. Detectives are investigating Harper based on information provided by the school district indicating a potential misuse of district funds or resources, Woodbury Police Department Commander Steve Willis said.

South Washington County School District officials declined to comment on the matter citing data privacy restrictions.

The district hired Harper as a middle school principal in 2006. He served as East Ridge principal since its opening in 2009.
