Poetry finds new fans online and in the community

For some reason, poetry can't seem to shake off its reputation as a staid art form, the pursuit of academics who live quiet lives pondering word choice and meter.

Perhaps that's true in other parts of the country, but that's not the case here in Minnesota.

Poetry is everywhere you look. You can literally stumble across it embedded in the sidewalks of St. Paul. You might hear cheers coming from a nearby coffeehouse, where neighbors are reading their latest work.

On The Daily Circuit, we discuss whether or not poetry is enjoying a sort of modern renaissance here in Minnesota, and our guests consider the role technology and social media are playing in helping it along.
