Franken focuses on Uber and Lyft privacy policies

Sen. Al Franken is questioning ride-sharing start-ups Uber and Lyft about what they do with passenger data, including logs of where customers have traveled and when.

He's written letters to the companies asking about privacy policies and data security issues.

MPR's Phil Picardi spoke with Franken, who's made those issues a priority as chairman of a Senate subcommittee.
