Lawmakers seek to address doctor shortages across the state

It's day three of the Minnesota legislative session.

Lawmakers in the DFL-controlled Senate and GOP-controlled House introduced their first bills Thursday.

One of those bills in the Senate aims to encourage more doctors and other medical professionals to work in rural and underserved areas.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with lead sponsor state Sen. Greg Clausen about the bill.
