DFLers in the Minnesota Senate are expected to release a transportation funding plan Monday that would raise new tax revenue for roads, bridges and transit.  

DFL Gov. Mark Dayton favors a similar approach. But House Republicans unveiled a proposal last week that spends less and relies on existing state money.

This is just the second week of the 2015 session, but transportation has already emerged as a major sticking point for Minnesota's newly divided government.  

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Minnesota Public Radio News Capitol reporter Tim Pugmire about the week ahead for lawmakers.

DFLers in the Minnesota Senate are expected to release a transportation funding plan today that would raise new tax revenue for roads, bridges and transit.  DFL Gov.
