Building a pond hockey tournament in 8 easy steps

Hundreds of teams will be playing on 25 rinks over the course of three days for the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships on Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis.

Now in its tenth year, the tournament is made up of divisions for men, women and kids. Teams with names like He Suits He Scores, Hamm's Bears and Puck Bunnies continue the long Minnesota tradition of making pond hockey serious fun.

Game play started Thursday, January 15 and the championship games take place Sunday afternoon.
