On The Daily Circuit, we look back and remember a broadcast legend who brought the best of jazz to Twin Cities stages and to Saturday night audiences on Minnesota Public Radio.

Leigh Kamman started his jazz broadcasting career in 1940. For more than 30 years, he hosted The Jazz Image on Minnesota Public Radio News. He retired in 2007.

This piece was produced by Beth Friend in 2003, to commemorate Leigh's fiftieth year as a broadcaster.

Leigh died this October.

The Leigh Kamman Celebration: Sunday Jan. 25, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Saint Paul Hotel. Suggested donation of $20
