Authorities are investigating after a partially clothed man was found dead in a residential alley in New Ulm.

Cmdr. Dave Borchert of the New Ulm Police Department says the body was discovered Thursday morning. He says the man wasn't wearing a shirt or jacket and investigators have determined his body was outside for less than 12 hours.

Borchert says the man was pronounced dead shortly after authorities arrived at the scene. The man's name and cause of death have not been determined.
