Today's Morning Edition music is from John Lennon and his version of "You Can't Catch Me."

It was one of the tracks on his album "Rock and Roll," which came out 40 years ago today.

According to music publisher Morris Levy, this song and two others owned by his publishing company were included on the album as part of a legal settlement. Levy had sued Lennon, charging that part of the melody and some of the lyrics in the Beatles song "Come Together" were lifted from Chuck Berry's "You Can't Catch Me."
