MPR's Cathy Wurzer speaks with University of Minnesota climatologist Mark Seeley about record cold temperatures in parts of Minnesota.

He also reveals how many times Minnesota has recorded the nation's coldest temperature so far this year.

Seeley says a brief warmer spell is in the forecast, followed by more lower-than-average temperatures.
