Como Zoo euthanizes 22-year-old lioness

The Como Zoo in St. Paul has lost a 22-year-old female lion.

Wynona was euthanized Tuesday because of health complications related to her age. Most female lions live to about 15 years. Wynona was believed to be one of the oldest female lions in North America.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press says Wynona has two offspring, Mufasa and Savannah.
