Department of Homeland Security on verge of shutdown

Congress is up against a deadline on allocating money to the Department of Homeland Security. If revenue isn't appropriated by Friday at midnight, the agency will have to lay off some non-essential workers.

The eleventh hour negotiations are happening because Republicans wanted to link DHS funding with the President's executive order on immigration.
