Highlighting unlisted musicians who contributed to 'Blood on the Tracks'
Today's Morning Edition music is from Bill Berg, Gregg Inhofer, Kevin Odegard, Willard Peterson and Chris Weber with "Tangled up in Blue" from the album "Blood on the Tracks," which was No. 1 on the Billboard album chart 40 years ago Friday.
Because the album covers were already printed when the decision was made to re-record this song and several others, the Minneapolis-based musicians who played on it were not listed.
Producer David Zimmerman reportedly promised that their names would be added in subsequent pressings, but they never were.
