Today's Morning Edition music is from Audra McDonald singing "Go Back Home" from the musical "The Scottsboro Boys."

The Minnesota Orchestra announced Friday that the Grammy and Tony Award winner will sing with the group in the first concerts of the new season on Sept. 11-12.

In addition, the new season will include three weeks of concerts in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of composer Jean Sibelius.

The orchestra will also perform all nine of Beethoven's symphonies and all five of his piano concertos featuring pianist Yevgeny Sudbin.
