This week Art Hounds report on HOTTEA, The Nature of Nature and MPLSART.com.

Nicholas Schaffer is happy that MPLSART.com has been re-launched in a new easy-to-use format. The website compiles all the art gallery openings in the Twin Cities, making it easy for you to plan your weekend. Schaffer says the idea is to connect more people to more art, creating an even more robust art scene.

Vance Gellert was enthralled by Minneapolis Institute of Arts' "The Nature of Nature" show, which draws from art throughout the museum, as well as several pieces from the Bell Museum of Natural History. Gellert says the combination of photography, sculpture, video and taxidermy effectively inspires conversations about our relationship to the world around us. It's up through May 24.

Terra LaChance thinks everyone needs to see HOTTEA's piece "The Collector" currently on display Perlman Teaching Museum on the Carleton College campus in Northfield. It's part of the exhibition "Swing Low" and is made up of thousands of brightly colored pieces of yarn hung from the ceiling. You can see the show through May 3.
