Minnesota House Republicans have released their plan for providing $2 billion in tax cuts. The House tax committee holds a hearing Monday on the bill.

Also this week, the full House and the Senate begin voting on a series of finance bills that will shape the next two-year budget. But there are big differences between the budget bills that House Republicans are advancing and the bills backed by Senate Democrats.

MPR News host Cathy Wurzer spoke with Minnesota Public Radio's Tim Pugmire, who covers the state Capitol, for a look at the week ahead.
