For orchestra musicians, thrill of Cuba trip tempered by fear over instruments

Violin bow maker Matthew Wehling used a hand-operated drill to modify a bow component called a frog, which is the piece that the musician holds, Thursday, March 26, 2015, in his workshop Northfield, Minn. With an ivory import ban, Wehling has replaced ivory bow tips with mastodon for musicians who are worried about international travel.
