Climate geeks have their eyes on the tropical Pacific Ocean as sea surface temperatures have warmed steadily over the past few weeks.

It's officially an El Nino and this one looks to be headed for strong to very strong territory. Some forecasters are saying this year's El Nino could challenge for the strongest on record.
