This week on the Friday Roundtable we're talking about current agricultural issues with three people who work with farmers every day.

The possibility of a new Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal has many agriculture producers worried. Meanwhile, EPA plans to change rules around renewable fuels is putting the breaks on many new ethanol projects.

In Minnesota, avian flu has taken a huge toll on the state's vital poultry industry and there is uncertainty about what agricultural and environmental policies are in a new bill negotiated between Gov. Mark Dayton and House Republicans.

MPR News' Tom Crann talked with three guests about why these stories matter to Minnesotans far beyond the farmyard.
