Archbishop John Nienstedt has resigned as the head the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. His announcement comes nearly two years into a clergy sex scandal and after charges against the archdiocese for its "role in failing to protect children and contribution to the unspeakable harm" in one case.
