Last week's special session ended with three budget bills including money for K-12 education and agriculture. The state also ended the session with a substantial reserve.

But a sweeping transportation bill didn't get resolved.

DFL Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk told MPR News' Kerri Miller this was his biggest disappointment of the session.

"When I say we didn't get it done, the Legislature didn't enact anything and get the governor to sign it," he said. "We failed. The House and the Senate both failed."

GOP House Assistant Majority Leader Ron Kresha also joined the discussion.
