Stillwater Lift Bridge reopens after truck damage

The Stillwater Lift Bridge was temporarily closed Tuesday morning after a boom truck damaged the structure. The bridge was set to reopen to road and river traffic by noon.
The incident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. Lanes in both directions were closed. The bridge was also temporarily closed to river traffic.
A spokesperson for the Minnesota Department of Transportation said repairs took about two hours. Drivers were urged to take another route.
