Today's Morning Edition music is from Dr. John (Malcom John Rebbenack) with Nicholas Payton on trumpet performing "Gut Bucket Blues." 

It's a selection from Dr. John's latest album, which is a tribute to Louis Armstrong and his music. 

Dr. John and the Nite Trippers will become the first musical act to perform at the new CHS Field. The performance, which is set for Saturday at 3:30 p.m., is part of the 

. Admission to the festival is free; however, reserved seats are required for select shows. 

Nicholas Payton will be on stage in Mears Park on Saturday night with Francisco Mela, the first artistic director of the Twin Cities Jazz Fest.

The six-time Grammy winner and the Nite Trippers will become the first musical act to perform at the new CHS Field in St. Paul this weekend.

Today's Morning Edition music is from Dr. John with Nicholas Payton on trumpet performing "Gut Bucket Blues." It's a tune off Dr. John's latest album, a tribute to the music of Louis Armstrong. Dr. John is coming to town as part of the annual Twin Cities Jazzfest which starts tonight. He will perform on Saturday afternoon at the new Saints ballpark, CHS Field. It will be the first concert ever at that ballpark. Like all the other Jazzfest events, it is free. Nicholas Payton will be on stage in Mears Park on Saturday night with Jazzfest artistic director Francisco Mela.
