Today's Morning Edition music is from Dr. John (Malcom John Rebbenack) with Nicholas Payton on trumpet performing "Gut Bucket Blues."

It's a selection from Dr. John's latest album, which is a tribute to Louis Armstrong and his music.

Dr. John and the Nite Trippers will become the first musical act to perform at the new CHS Field. The performance, which is set for Saturday at 3:30 p.m., is part of the Twin Cities Jazz Festival. Admission to the festival is free; however, reserved seats are required for select shows.

Nicholas Payton will be on stage in Mears Park on Saturday night with Francisco Mela, the first artistic director of the Twin Cities Jazz Fest.
