Motown's Four Tops hit No. 1 half a century ago

Fifty years ago today, the Four Tops' "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honeybunch)" was No. 1 on the Billboard pop chart.

Written by the hottest songwriting team of the era, Motown's Holland brothers — Brian and Eddie — and Lamont Dozier, it was the first chart-topper by the Four Tops.
