The second annual For the Love hip-hop festival will take place Saturday in the Lowertown neighborhood of St. Paul.

The festival celebrates elements of hip-hop culture including breakdancing, MCing, graffiti and beatboxing, said organizer Amber Cleveland of ACE Entertainment.

This year has a special emphasis on female performers, with appearances by Ashley DuBose, Maria Isa and Miss Cherice. The festival is also hosting the 20th anniversary performance of Minneapolis hip-hop group Kanser, as well as more than two dozen other performers.

For the Love is spread across stages at Bedlam Lowertown, Union Depot and Black Dog Coffee and Wine Bar, which will host the children's stage. It starts at 2 p.m. and wraps up at the Bedlam stage at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. Daytime events are all-ages but attendees need to be 18 to get into performances after 10 p.m.

Metro Transit is offering free rides to the festival for attendees who download a free transit ticket at the festival's website.

The full lineup and a map of the festival is available on the For the Love website.
