1 killed, 1 injured in overnight Minneapolis shooting

One man was killed and another injured in north Minneapolis early Thursday morning.

The shooting occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on the 2300 block of Thomas Avenue North.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found two adult men who had both been shot, according to a statement released by police. One man was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to North Memorial Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries.

Minneapolis police said in a statement that 911 callers had reported an argument on the street before shooting started.

The man who died will be identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner. Police said no suspects are in custody.
