We're just over one month into Minnesota's medical marijuana program.

The industry's first hurdles have quickly become clear. Some would-be patients have reported trouble finding doctors to give them the OK for treatment, and others say prices are just too high.

Manny Munson-Regala used to serve as a top regulator of the industry in the state, but he switched camps to take a job as CEO of Cottage Grove-based LeafLine Labsof — one of the state's two marijuana producers. At the time, Munson-Regala move from regulating marijuana to helping sell it raised questions at the Capitol and elsewhere.

MPR News' Phil Picardi spoke with Munson-Regala about how the industry is taking shape.
