African Methodist Episcopal Church Bishop John Richard Bryant spoke at the National Press Club on Aug. 12 about race relations and gun violence.

In a prayer vigil after the Charleston shootings, Rev. Bryant spoke of African-American resilience and said the shooter "picked the wrong place and the wrong crowd."
