Swimmer's body found in Lake Harriet

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office has recovered the body of a swimmer who disappeared in Lake Harriet Sunday evening.

The 43-year-old man had been swimming near a floating dock on the north side of the lake. A family member reported seeing the man go underwater around 6 p.m. and not resurface.

Crews searched late into the evening before a storm interrupted the search. Divers returned to the lake late Sunday night and found the man's body just after 2 a.m. Monday.

The man has not been identified.
