U.S. Congressman Tim Walz is currently serving his fourth term representing Minnesota's First Congressional District. The First Congressional District spans the southern part of Minnesota - from the South Dakota border in the west to the Wisconsin border in the east.

When Congress returns from its August recess, it'll have plenty of high-stakes work to do. Budget battles, the debt ceiling, and the debate over the Iran nuclear deal are some of the main challenges that await.
But for now, many Congressmen and women are home in their districts. We're checking in with some of Minnesota's Congressional delegation during the August recess.
