9 teens injured in Wright County rollover

Nine teenagers were injured in Wright County on Sunday night after the truck they were riding in rolled over in French Lake Township.

Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty said emergency responders found the damaged pickup truck in a bean field near the intersection of County Road 35 and Peyton Avenue Northwest shortly after 10 p.m.

Hagerty said seven of the injured teens were riding in the truck bed and two of them were in the truck's cab at the time of the crash. They ranged in age from 15 to 17.

Each of the teens were transported to hospitals for treatment. The 16-year-old driver was transported by air ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center and is in satisfactory condition, according to the hospital. Passengers were taken to Buffalo Hospital, North Memorial Medical Center or St. Cloud Hospital.

The Wright County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
