Man arrested in shooting outside Maple Grove movie theater

Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with a shooting that injured two people outside a movie theater in Maple Grove.

Cortez Foster of Brooklyn Park was arrested Monday after being identified by police earlier in the day as the suspect in the shooting Saturday night outside the AMC Arbor Lakes 16 theater.

Brooklyn Center police Sgt. Steve Pastor says police tried to stop a vehicle Monday afternoon in Brooklyn Center and a chase ensued, and the driver fled after crashing. Pastor says Foster was arrested at a Minneapolis home about two hours later.

Foster was charged with two counts of attempted murder. It wasn't immediately clear if he has an attorney.
