Regents chair: U intends to make Teague investigation public

A panel of University of Minnesota regents and administrators is overseeing an investigation into the school's athletic department.

The group is looking into sexual harassment allegations and discrimination concerns following Norwood Teague's resignation as athletics director earlier this month.

Teague announced his resignation on Aug. 7 following complaints by two university women that he'd sexually harassed them at a leadership retreat on July 15.

Teague reportedly groped the women and made sexually suggestive comments to them, one via text message.

Shortly after Teague quit, a Star Tribune sports reporter who covers U athletics came forward, saying Teague had harassed her as well.

In addition to the internal investigation, the university said earlier this month that attorneys from the Minneapolis-based firm Fredrikson & Byron will "conduct a review and address key issues" tied to the complaints made against Teague.
