Light rail trains suspended over the weekend

Metro Transit will replace many light rail trains with buses over the weekend to allow for construction and maintenance on the rail lines.

Trains on parts of both the Blue and Green lines will stop running at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, and are expected to resume at 3 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14.

Service will be suspended on the Blue Line between Target Field and Lake Street in Minneapolis. Green Line service will be suspended between Target Field in downtown Minneapolis and Raymond Avenue in St. Paul

Buses will be available near each affected station, although Metro Transit is warning riders that the buses may take longer than trains. More details about the construction are available on the agency's website.
