Bicyclist struck and killed in Forest Lake

The Minnesota State Patrol says a man biking in Forest Lake has been struck and killed.

It happened Wednesday shortly before 4 a.m. at Highway 97 and Forest Road North. The fatal crash temporarily closed Highway 97.

The State Patrol says the 26-year-old bicyclist moved into the westbound lanes of the highway and was struck by a Jeep Cherokee driven by a 52-year-old Forest Lake man, who was not injured.
