The Minnesota Lynx beat the Phoenix Mercury in Game One of the WNBA Western Conference Finals.

The teams will play their second game in the series Sunday in Phoenix.  

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Twins are fighting for their own playoff spot in the Major League Baseball playoffs. The team has just 10 games left in the regular season and is only one-and-a-half games out of baseball's last wild card spot.  

MPR News host Cathy Wurzer spoke with Howard Sinker, a digital sports editor for the Star Tribune, about the Lynx, the Twins, and the Minnesota Golden Gopher football team, which plays its homecoming game against Ohio University tomorrow.
