Two people are dead and another wounded after a series of shootings in the Twin Cities on Wednesday night.

A vigil to mark the anniversary of a previous death in St. Paul was interrupted by gunfire about 6 p.m. Wednesday. St. Paul police say they responded to a shots fired call on the East Side and found a shooting victim being treated by paramedics. He was pronounced dead shortly after. A crowd had gathered at the scene of the shooting, the site of a woman's slaying in 2012.
