2nd man charged in St. Paul mom's shooting death

Ramsey County Prosecutors have charged a second man in connection with the shooting death of a 24-year-old woman on the east side of St. Paul.

Isiah Lee Harper, 26, of Minneapolis faces two counts of aggravated robbery and burglary for assisting Alvin Rudolph Bell, who was charged Thursday.

The duo randomly selected Sarah Wierstad's apartment in hopes of finding money, Harper told police.

Harper said he stayed outside of the apartment as Bell and another man known to him as "AB" handed him items, according to the criminal complaint.

As he stood outside, Harper said he saw the back light come on and Wierstad appear. Harper told police he heard AB saying, "stay back — stop following us," then heard four to five shots.
