Target says it will again open its doors at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving for the "millions of families who make Black Friday in-store shopping part of their tradition."

The Minneapolis-based retail giant on Monday announced the 6 p.m. Thanksgiving opening as it unveiled its strategy for the Black Friday holiday shopping season. It's also keeping stores open until 11 p.m. or midnight on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Besides the early Thanksgiving opening — a move made by Target and other retailers last year, Target said it will introduce a "10 Days of Deals" promotion, discounting electronics, kitchenware, toys and other items from Nov. 22 through Dec. 1.

The company also cut prices today on selected items today, including Apple TV and other electronics.
