How to support a new group of veterans

As the demographics of veterans change, support services at home are learning to adapt.

With younger veterans returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, even VFW outposts are getting an update. This fall, the New York Times profiled a VFW in Denver, Colo., that added yoga and an art gallery to its programming.

To discuss these changing supporting systems, MPR News' Tom Weber spoke with Neil Doyle, the supervisor of the Olmstead County Veteran Services Office, and Dawn Boyle, the Twin Cities chapter captain of Team Red, White and Blue, which organizes fitness activities and social gatherings for veterans.
