Radio star Charlie Boone dies at 88

Longtime WCCO radio host Charlie Boone died Sunday at the age of 88.

For nearly 40 years, Boone and his broadcast partner Roger Erickson were one of the nation's most enduring and popular radio duos.

At one point in its history, WCCO radio captured more than 60 percent of the total radio audience in the Twin Cities.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer reports on the life of Boone.
