Woman's body found in submerged vehicle in Roseville lake

Authorities are investigating after a woman's body was found in a submerged vehicle in Lake Josephine in Roseville.

The Ramsey County Water Patrol and Dive team recovered the body after authorities were notified at about 1 p.m. Sunday that a vehicle was seen under the ice about 75 feet from a boat launch. The gray Saturn sedan that was pulled from the lake matches the description of the vehicle that belongs to a 64-year-old woman who was reported missing last week in nearby Shoreview.

Authorities declined to speculate whether the body is that of the missing woman, who was described as a vulnerable adult in a Ramsey County Sheriff's Office news release last week.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.
