Police have filed a single felony count against a man who allegedly discharged a gun inside a Target store in Fridley.

Seth Allan Millner, 28, was charged with possession of a firearm by an ineligible person, owing to his prior criminal record.

According to the criminal complaint, Millner was paying for some items at the Target store when a gun he had in his waistband slipped down his leg and went off. A bullet bounced off the floor and hit the ceiling. No one was hurt.

He fled the store but was arrested in St. Paul a few days later on other charges.

An acquaintance recognized Millner in media reports and identified him for police. Police say Millner told them the handgun "just went off."

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
