After a relatively mild weekend in Minnesota, weather conditions are about to get interesting.

Forecasters say Rochester, Albert Lea and other cities in that region will likely get hit with up to a foot of snow and blizzard-like conditions.

The National Weather Service expects low visibility and large snowdrifts beginning Tuesday. The weather service's blizzard watch says some roads may be impassable on Tuesday night.

Meteorologists say Red Wing and Fairmont could wind up with 6 to 8 inches of snow and Mankato with 4 to 6. The Twin Cities could see 2 to 3 inches by the time the storm exits the state.
