Plan to shut three Stillwater schools nears vote

There is contention in Stillwater over a plan to close three elementary schools.

The plan has drawn angry reactions from some parents who want their kids at nearby schools.

The district has said the move would provide balanced class sizes, better support services and save money.

Tom Weber talked with Denise Pontrelli, superintendent of the Stillwater Area Public Schools, as a vote nears.
