British explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton led the ill-fated Endurance Expedition to the South Pole in 1914.

This 1999 Minnesota Public Radio documentary by John Rabe details the heroic expedition. "Walking Out of History" tells the adventures of Shackleton and his crew during the two-year voyage.
