Prince Rogers Nelson, Minnesota's pop music powerhouse, died yesterday at the age of 57.

For this week's Friday Roundtable, MPR News host Kerri Miller spoke with three local music experts about the integral role Prince played in the Minnesota music scene.

Jim McGuinn, program director of MPR's sister station 89.3 The Current; Toki Wright, a musician and program coordinator for the hip hop program at McNally Smith; and Greil Marcus, a music journalist and author of "The History of Rock and Roll in 10 Songs," joined the conversation.
