In the last few days there have been many organized public events honoring pop superstar Prince, who died last week at the age of 57.

A memorial continues to grow outside Paisley Park in Chanhassen. Fans flocked to all-night dance parties three nights in a row at First Avenue in Minneapolis. A screening of "Purple Rain" Saturday at Target Field Station drew thousands. Another, scheduled for this Friday at MPR's Fitzgerald Theater, is sold out.

Meanwhile in Minneapolis on Sunday afternoon, there was a unique musical tribute to Prince — the tower bells at City Hall rang out with a few of his hits.
